Are you a tech student or fresh graduate looking to fast-track your entry into the digital economy? The opportunity you’ve been waiting for is officially here!

Applications are now open for the K-Youth Development Programme 2026, a premier youth employability initiative by Khazanah Nasional Berhad implemented in partnership with 42 Malaysia. Designed specifically to bridge the gap between classroom education and industry demands, this intensive programme aims to equip young Malaysians with the practical skills required to thrive in today’s tech landscape.

Best of all? It is 100% free of charge, and you can earn up to RM5,000 in stipends upon completing program milestones!

Why Choose the K-Youth Development Programme?

Unlike traditional academic settings, 42 Malaysia’s revolutionary learning model features no professors, no lectures, and no traditional classes. Instead, you will learn through hands-on, project-based peer learning—simulating the exact atmosphere of a real-world tech startup.

The programme spans from April 2026 to December 2026 and is split into three core phases:

  1. Weeks 1–2 (Foundations & Problem Discovery): Dive straight into building a strong technical foundation using Python. You will tackle data-driven problem solving, APIs, web scraping, data handling, data visualization, and basic AI integration.
  2. Weeks 3–4 (Project Build & Application): Put your knowledge to the test by creating working solutions involving data ingestion, logic, and output. The phase culminates in a showcase Demonstration Day.
  3. Week 5 onwards (Industry Placement): Step out of the lab and into the workforce. You will be placed within a real workplace environment to contribute to actual industry projects, gaining invaluable professional experience and a direct line to full-time employment.
